A lot of the projects that come through Motion One aren't local. They're brands running campaigns across multiple markets, foundations documenting fieldwork in a country they've never filmed in before, agencies who need a video production partner they can hand a brief to and trust to deliver, wherever that brief takes us.

Motion One is based in Amsterdam, but the work isn't confined to it. Over the years we've built up a working network of video crews, fixers, and facilities across a number of countries. When a project calls for local camera operators, sound recordists, or production support on the ground, we're not starting from zero. We know who to call, we know their work, and we know how to brief them so the footage that comes back matches what we'd shoot ourselves.

That network is what makes it possible to take on larger video productions requiring international travel, whether that's a small crew flying out for a week of filming or a full production built around a multi-country shoot schedule.

Full service video production, start to finish

Whether a project is based in Amsterdam or on the other side of the Atlantic, the process stays the same:

Pre-production covers the planning that determines whether a shoot goes smoothly: permits, locations, crew, schedules, and logistics worked out before anyone picks up a camera. For international shoots, this is where most of the real work happens, well before the flight.

Shooting is handled either by our own crew or, where a project needs local support, by the network we've built over years of working abroad. Either way, the standard doesn't change. We shoot on professional cinema cameras including the Sony FX6.

Post-production, including editing, colour grading, and sound design, happens back in our Amsterdam studio, where footage from every location comes together into a single finished piece.
